ADVANCED FEED, based in Methven in the heart of Mid-Canterbury’s grain-growing region, is a purpose-built feed manufacturing mill producing quality pellets and custom grain blends for dairy, beef, sheep and deer farms across New Zealand. By sourcing ingredients from locally grown crops and proudly supporting the NZ Grown Grains initiative, Advanced Feed champions the use of New Zealand–grown wheat and barley while strengthening the connection between Canterbury’s arable growers and livestock farmers.

Endorsed by the NZ Feed Manufacturers’ Association, Advanced Feed operates under strict quality control systems and holds NZ FeedSafe certification. We are also proud members of the AgRecovery Rural Recycling Programme, supporting the responsible collection and recycling of feed bags and agricultural plastics. Together, these commitments ensure every product meets the highest standards for safety, sustainability and nutritional performance — giving farmers confidence they are feeding premium, locally made feed.
Dairy
Customised high-spec feed options for calves and young stock through to lactating and/or dry cows.
Beef
Customised pellets to bolster calf growth, improve cow and/or calf condition, or to support stock during tight seasonal feed shortages.
Deer
Quality options for weaner/yearlings, velveting, stag, and hind conditioning. The Winter Balance pellet or nuts gives peace of mind for all stock classes.
Lamb
High-spec sheep pellets for all stock and age classes. Exceptional customised lamb options.

Advanced Feed’s quality management system is FeedSafeNZ accredited. Its full-process automated blending operation means its pellet and grain blends are evenly dispersed and mixed every time – making them more nutritionally available to stock.

Advanced Feeds distributes stock feed throughout Aotearoa, New Zealand. Its central address in the heart of the South Island, along with its strong connections with multiple transport companies, make deliveries seamless.
Custom Formulations
Up to 11 raw ingredients can be included in any customised load – measured as finely as 100g per tonne. Every order is made by the tonne for extreme accuracy, and its fully and evenly dispersed pelletisation and blending process delivers uniform results – every time.
